Steven Pacey back at The Tricycle, 2 July-2 August in 'Moonlight & Magnolias'
Steven will be returning to the Tricycle Theatre, Kilburn, London between 02 July and 02 August again playing director Victor Fleming in ‘Moonlight and Magnolias’
This play was so popular last autumn that they’ve re-booked it for a further run. It was also nominated for the Whatsonstage.com theatre awards.
HORIZON OUTING: There will be a Horizon get-together on Saturday 26th July to see the 4pm matinee (tickets £15), hopefully say hello to Steven after the show, and then off to a local eating place where we can catch up with old friends, and make new ones.
UPDATED 1st July: Date is now confirmed as 26 July. Anyone wanting to join us should book their own ticket(s) for the 4pm matinee (the Tricycle has unreserved seating so when we meet before the show we'll be able to then all sit together) and let Ms_Wooster know you'll be joining us so she can contact you privately with additional information
Written by Ron Hutchinson and directed by Sean Holmes, this is the hilarious story behind the re-writing of the film 'Gone With The Wind'. Movie mogul David O. Selznick has just shut down production of Gone With The Wind. Determined to rewrite the script, he engages the reluctant services of “script doctor” Ben Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor Fleming (Steven Pacey), poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. His reputation on the line, and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas, Selznick locks the three men into his office and a marathon creative session begins...

Sad News - Bruce Purchase (Gola) has died
BRUCE PURCHASE
2nd October 1938 - 5th June 2008
Sad News - Actor Bruce Purchase, who played Gola
in the S2 episode 'The Keeper' has died.
We were very sorry to learn of the death of Bruce Purchase, aged 69, on 5th June 2008 at his home in Putney, South London. Apart from his Blake's 7 role as Gola, he was best known to SF fans as the evil half man, half machine Captain in the 1978 'Doctor Who' 4-part story 'The Pirate Planet', in which he starred opposite Tom Baker's Doctor.
Our deepest sympathy to his partner, Sara Hebblethwaite, and to all his family and friends.

Glynis Barber in ITV's 'The Royal'
Glynis will be playing Jean McAteer in the ITV series ‘The Royal’. Filming will take place between July and September in Yorkshire, for broadcast early 2009.
ITV's drama series "The Royal" is a spin off from Heartbeat. Like ITV's Heartbeat, The Royal is set in the swinging 60s. "The Royal" is a medical drama which evokes memories of older medical dramas made in the 60s such as "Emergency Ward Ten". The setting is St Aidan's Royal Free Hospital in Elsinby. Elsinby is a seaside town. Most of the filming takes place in Scarborough.
